Preamble
00.1
Purpose
These General Orders establish the standards of conduct, responsibility, and obligation expected of every member of the Royal Australian Armoured Corps. They apply at all times — during operations, training, and casual play. Membership in the RAAC constitutes acceptance of these orders.
01
Conduct & Representation
01.1
You Are Always RAAC
When tagged as RAAC, you represent the Corps. Your conduct reflects on every other member. Act accordingly. This applies in MTC, on Discord, and in any other space where you identify as RAAC.
01.2
Respect
Treat all people with basic respect — allies, opponents, and strangers. Racism, targeted harassment, slurs, and sustained toxicity will result in immediate discharge. There are no warnings for serious conduct violations.
01.3
Sportsmanship
Win and lose with dignity. Do not gloat over victories or rage over defeats. MTC is a game. The RAAC's reputation is built on consistency, skill, and professionalism — not on trash talk.
01.4
Honesty
Do not misrepresent your rank, experience, or status to other members or to the CO/2IC. Do not claim to speak for the RAAC without authority to do so.
02
Chain of Command
02.1
Obedience
Orders from senior ranks are to be followed promptly and professionally. The chain of command is: CO → 2IC → Officers → Warrant Officers → NCOs → Enlisted. Do not bypass the chain of command except in emergencies.
02.2
Raising Concerns
If you disagree with an order or decision, raise it through proper channels after the fact — not in the middle of an operation. Message the CO or 2IC privately on Discord. Publicly undermining command authority is a disciplinary matter.
02.3
Acting Rank
In the absence of higher authority, the most senior present member assumes command. This is not an invitation to abuse authority — it is a responsibility. Act as the CO would act.
03
Attendance & Commitment
03.1
Operations
RAAC members are expected to attend operations when available and when invited. You are not required to attend every op. However, consistent no-shows without communication will be noted and may affect your status and promotion eligibility.
03.2
Leave of Absence (LOA)
If you will be unavailable for an extended period, notify the CO or 2IC via Discord. Your status will be changed to LOA. You will not be penalised for communicated absences. Disappearing without notice for more than 30 days may result in discharge review.
03.3
Resignation
If you wish to leave the RAAC, inform the CO or 2IC. You will be discharged honourably. Do not ghost — a clean exit is respected.
04
Promotion & Recognition
04.1
Merit Only
Rank is earned through demonstrated performance, attendance, and leadership — never asked for. Asking for a promotion is the surest way to delay one. Show up, perform, and the CO will notice.
04.2
Promotion Criteria
Promotions are at the sole discretion of the CO. General indicators include: operational attendance, crew competence, leadership demonstrated in the field, positive conduct, and time in grade. No promotion is guaranteed by time alone.
04.3
Awards
Awards and commendations are issued by the CO or 2IC for specific actions or contributions. They are recorded in your Personnel File. Do not request awards — they are issued when earned.
