Preamble
00.1
Purpose
These Rules of Engagement govern the use of force, target engagement, and conduct of all RAAC elements during operations in Multicrew Tank Combat. All RAAC members are bound by these ROE at all times while operating under the RAAC banner. Ignorance of these rules is not an excuse for violation.
00.2
Authority
These ROE are issued by the Commanding Officer (BRIG TerminalLance1775) and ratified by the 2IC (COL ssorc2). They supersede personal judgement in all engagement decisions. Amendments must be approved by the CO or 2IC.
01
Engagement Authority
01.1
Positive Identification (PID)
All targets must be positively identified as hostile before engagement. A vehicle or player displaying RAAC tags, allied markings, or operating alongside friendly elements is NOT a valid target. If in doubt, do not engage — report to the Field Commander.
01.2
Escalation of Force
Engagement must be proportional to the threat. Do not expend premium ammunition (HEAT, APHE, APFSDS) on soft targets or infantry when standard AP will suffice. Conserve combat power for high-priority threats.
01.3
Fire Discipline
Do not fire until the Tank Commander (TC) or Field Commander (FC) gives the order, unless under immediate threat with no time to communicate. Panic fire, unaimed fire, and spray-and-pray are prohibited. Every round fired must have a valid target.
01.4
Ceasefire Orders
A ceasefire order from the FC or TC must be obeyed immediately. The words CEASEFIRE CEASEFIRE CEASEFIRE on comms constitute an absolute stop to all fire. Acknowledge with your callsign.
02
Friendly Fire & Safety
02.1
Friendly Fire (Blue on Blue)
Friendly fire is the most serious violation of these ROE. A confirmed deliberate blue-on-blue incident will result in immediate removal from the operation and a disciplinary service record entry. Accidental blue-on-blue must be reported to the FC immediately.
02.2
Minimum Safe Distance
When calling indirect fire (artillery), the minimum safe distance for friendly elements is 150 metres from the target grid unless the FC explicitly clears a closer engagement. Report all friendly positions before calling a fire mission.
02.3
Muzzle Awareness
Do not traverse your gun across friendly vehicles at close range. Do not fire when a friendly element is between you and the target. Situational awareness is the responsibility of both the Gunner and the TC.
03
Conduct During Operations
03.1
Chain of Command
During operations, orders flow: FC → TC → Crew. All orders are to be acknowledged and followed immediately. Disagreements are raised after the operation ends, not during it. If an order would clearly result in a rules violation, state this clearly and await confirmation.
03.2
Comms Discipline
Keep voice comms clear and professional during operations. Use brevity codes where possible. Non-essential chatter on the command net is prohibited during active contact. Save the banter for after the op.
03.3
Exploitation & Griefing
Zero tolerance for exploit use, bug abuse, or intentional griefing. Any RAAC member found using exploits will be immediately removed from the operation. A second offence results in discharge review. This applies to RAAC vs RAAC and RAAC vs any other player.
03.4
Conduct Toward Other Players
RAAC members represent the Corps at all times. Trash talk, unsportsmanlike behaviour, and targeted harassment of other players in MTC reflects on the entire group. Fight hard, win cleanly, treat opponents with respect.
04
Violations & Enforcement
04.1
Reporting
ROE violations are to be reported to the TC or FC during the operation, or to the CO/2IC via Discord after. Provide: the member's username, the incident, the time, and any evidence (screenshot/clip).
04.2
Consequences
Minor violations result in a verbal correction and service record entry. Serious violations (deliberate blue-on-blue, exploit use, repeat offences) result in suspension from operations or discharge. The CO has final authority on all disciplinary outcomes.
