Secondary Billets — How It Works
Staff billets are secondary duties assigned to RAAC members in addition to their primary crew role (TC, Gunner, Driver, FC). Members volunteer or are assigned by CO/2IC. Each section has a Section Officer (SO) who reports directly to the 2IC. Billets are tracked in MILPAC service records and can be cited for promotion and commendation. No rank requirement unless noted — contribution matters more than grade.
S1
Personnel & Administration
Adjutant's Branch — Regimental Level
Manages all personnel matters, records, enlistment processing, and administrative functions of the Corps. The S1 is the backbone of RAAC admin — without it, nothing gets tracked.
Duties & Responsibilities
Recruit
Process incoming PEF applications — verify Discord and Roblox IDs, contact applicants, and brief CO/2IC on candidates
Doc
Maintain MILPAC records — ensure all personnel files are current, service records are entered, and awards are logged
Recruit
Run recruitment drives — Discord posts, Roblox group announcements, outreach to MTC players
Doc
Draft and submit Personnel Action Forms (PAF) on behalf of members who need rank changes, transfers, or LOA
Doc
Track Time in Service and Time in Grade — flag members eligible for promotion to CO/2IC
Section Officer Grade
WO or above preferred — open to all NCOs
S2
Intelligence & Assessment
Intelligence Corps — Regimental Level
Gathers and analyses information about the MTC operational environment — enemy doctrine, map intelligence, vehicle capabilities, and after-action intelligence. Provides the CO with the threat picture before operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
Intel
Research MTC game updates — new maps, vehicle changes, weapon rebalances — and produce weekly intel briefs
Doc
Compile After-Action Reports from operations and extract lessons learned for distribution to the Corps

Study opposing group tactics and doctrine — brief CO/2IC before operations on known enemy TTPs
Doc
Maintain the RAAC threat library — document enemy vehicle loadouts, known weaknesses, and engagement ranges
Intel
Produce map overlays and terrain analysis for upcoming operational areas
Section Officer Grade
NCO or above — analytical mindset preferred
S3
Operations & Training
Operations Branch — Regimental Level
Plans and coordinates all RAAC operations and training events. The S3 is the busiest section in the regiment — responsible for making sure the Corps is ready to fight and that every operation is planned before it happens.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ops
Plan operations — write operation orders (OPORDs), assign crews, designate objectives, and brief CO/2IC
Train
Design and run NTO (New Tank Operator) training programmes — slides, assessments, crew qualification standards
Train
Schedule and run Troop Practice sessions — coordinate times, write training objectives, run the session
Doc
Maintain the Operations Calendar — log all upcoming ops and training in the Roll Call calendar
Train
Develop crew role qualification courses — TC Course, Gunner Course, Driver Course — with pass/fail criteria
Ops
Write and update FTX (Field Training Exercise) plans for combined arms exercises
Section Officer Grade
SGT or above — Officer preferred as SO
S4
Logistics & Sustainment
Royal Australian Army Corps of Transport
Manages RAAC resources — uniform standards enforcement, group store management, and ensuring the Corps has what it needs to operate. In the MTC context, this translates to asset tracking and resource coordination.
Duties & Responsibilities
Log
Enforce uniform compliance — track who has purchased mandatory items within their 3-month window
Log
Manage the RAAC group store — monitor item availability, flag issues to CO, coordinate new item releases
Doc
Track vehicle assignments in MTC — which crews are assigned to which tank types
Log
Coordinate pre-operation equipment checks — ensure all crew members have the correct loadout before ops
Doc
Maintain the RAAC resource register — list of all group assets, uniform items, and associated links
Section Officer Grade
CPL or above — open to all ranks
S5
Plans & Future Operations
Doctrine & Plans Branch
Responsible for long-range planning, doctrine development, and the RAAC's strategic direction. While S3 handles current operations, S5 thinks three steps ahead — expansion, alliances, new doctrine, and future exercises.
Duties & Responsibilities
Doc
Write and update RAAC doctrine documents — tactics manuals, crew SOPs, rules of engagement updates
Ops
Plan future large-scale exercises and joint operations with allied MTC groups
Doc
Draft unit expansion plans — new squadron activation criteria, unit structure proposals for CO review
